22 Minute Hard Corps Initial Review

22 Minute Hard Corps Initial Review

So we’re about 2 weeks into 22 Minute Hard Corps and firing on all cylinders. Oh, and here are my before picture. Yep, I’ve gained about 10 pounds since December and it’s time for that to STOP. It’s crazy what 10 pounds can do. I’ve lost a TON of definition, but I WILL NOT let it affect me. Worrying about yesterdays’ mistakes is a surefire way to fail. Now that’s out of the way let’s get into 22 Minute Hard Corps initial Review…

Initial Thoughts

One thing that’s new to me is working out at night so that my wife can do it with me. It took some getting used to at first, but I’m starting to enjoy these end-of-day sessions. AND at only 22 minutes a piece, I can fit these bad boys in no matter how late it is. But don’t let the short timeframe confuse you into thinking that these routines aren’t total KILLERS. They are. And they will leave you huffing and puffing. Just check out Resistance 1…

If that’s not a killer workout I don’t know what is. Anyways, weeks 1-8 have alternating days of Cardio and Resistance with Core work on the cardio days. Week 9 has been dubbed Hell Week and looks like an absolute BEAST. I can’t wait to try and tackle that one. Currently though, we are in week 3 and having a ton of fun with these. No, I don’t want to workout every single day and I’m so glad my wife is doing this program with me. She tells me to suck it up and get after it which is all the push I need lol! We’ll be posting reviews of each workout so stay tuned!

Wasting Time

The greatest excuse that we tell ourselves is that we don’t have enough time. Not enough time to workout. Not enough time to plan meal. Not enough time for whatever. How bad is that? That we say we don’t have enough time to take care of oursleves? What are some common time sinks that keep people from realizing their true potential?

  • Mindless TV
  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • Instagram
  • Videogames

I’m guilty of ever single one of these at one point or another. I get a kick out of comedy sitcoms just like everybody else, but in the long run what is that going to do for me? Nothing.  It takes a conscious effort to turn off the TV, quit scrolling social media, and put down the controller, but after a while working out and planning meals becomes a habit.

I know my schedule may not be a busy as some other people’s, but I still make time to workout 6 days a week. Don’t get me wrong, I still play the heck out of videogames (Destiny is simply amazing and Fallout isn’t going to play itself lol). I still do what I like to do, but I make the time to improve my health and fitness. Find out where you are wasting time and fill it with something good for you. I’m constantly reminded of a quote by Dave Ramsey,

“If you’ll live like no one else, later you can LIVE LIKE NO ONE ELSE.”

I’m Back

I’m Back

It’s been quite a while since I’ve posted on here. I’ve been spending most of my time playing on Instagram and Facebook, but it’s high time I got back to weekly posting on here also.

First off, I finished off 2015 on a great note with the Fall Perfection Crew as you can see below. 90 days of near perfect nutrition and Body Beast.

But….. Christmas came around and I never fully recovered. I over ate way too often, worked out sporadically, and have since gained about 10 pounds. Now, I could so just sit here and cry (Baby WaWa style) and continue stewing over how bad I’ve been OR I can get back after it. The choice is easy.

Tomorrow is Day 1 of  our 22 Minute Hard Corps Challenge Group and I’m determined to jump right back on where I left off. I’ll post my day one photos tomorrow (no matter how embarrassing they might be lol).

You might be in the same situation as me but It’s time to take back control and get after it! Who’s with me? Here’s my motivation. My beautiful family.
